A member of the American Society of Media Photographers, I have been a contributing Earthwatch Institute photographer since 2001.
Much of my work deals with nature and the environment. My still-lifes arose from an old fascination with the intimate details of a landscape.
To create these images, I borrow items from licensed biologists and naturalists: shells, feathers, bones, etc.
These labor intensive images take a great deal of time to complete; a series titled "The Four Seasons" was developed over the course of one year.
A short list of recent publishers and collectors includes Lonely Planets (Code Green: Experiences of a Lifetime), Earthwatch Institute
catalogues and websites, scholastic.com, The Boston Globe, Johnson & Johnson, and numerous regional publications.
In February of 2008 I was one of five featured "eco-artists" at ArtExpo New York, a trade fair hosting thousands of artists and over 500 galleries.
